Current Series
A contemporary body of work exploring the fragile space between stability and transformation. Each painting captures a psychological state rather than a fixed narrative, moments where emotional structure begins to shift, fracture, dissolve, or reform without immediate resolution.
Rather than depicting external events, the series focuses on internal landscapes of transition, uncertainty, suspension, and becoming. Six original paintings, fully documented, available for private acquisition.
Asya Dimitrova is a multidisciplinary contemporary artist based in the United Arab Emirates, working across painting, writing, conceptual narrative, and fashion design. Her practice is rooted in emotional and philosophical inquiry, a creative language developed since early childhood.
After years exploring different artistic disciplines, Asya returned with renewed intensity to painting, developing a body of work centred on emotion, perception, and the fragile architecture of human experience. Her paintings do not provide answers. They create conversation, inviting viewers to confront the world and themselves through shifting emotional perspectives, unresolved spaces, and surfaces that ask to be felt before they are understood.
Working in acrylic and oil on stretched canvas, she constructs atmospheric compositions where abstraction, symbolism, and psychological space coexist. Influenced by surrealism, existential thought, and emotional storytelling, she approaches each painting as a living dialogue rather than a static image.
Her current body of work, the State of Becoming series, has attracted international gallery interest including an active listing with RO Gallery, New York.
